The government allocated more than 39 million hryvnias for compensation for the free placement of IDPs in institutions

It is about compensation for utility services consumed during the unpaid stay of internally displaced persons in the premises of state, communal and private property.

This decision was made at a meeting of the Government. The draft order has been prepared to fulfill the Prime Minister’s mandate.

The document provides for the allocation of more than 39.2 million hryvnias from the reserve fund of the state budget to the relevant institutions to cover the costs of communal services for August-September 2023. Among them, the following will be directed:

• More than 6.9 million hryvnias – for the payment of compensations to state-owned institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Ministry of Social Policy.

• More than 30.5 million hryvnias – to communal institutions, state educational institutions, transferred for financing from local budgets, and institutions jointly owned by territorial communities of the region and district, which are under the management of regional and district councils.

The Ministry of Reintegration will provide this additional subsidy from the state budget to local budgets based on the approved distribution between regional budgets.

• More than 1.8 million hryvnias – to private institutions (except private educational institutions).

The Ministry of Reintegration thanks the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance for cooperation in the implementation of the state policy on supporting internally displaced persons.
