Internally displaced persons can apply for financial support from the UN

IDPs can receive financial assistance in the amount of 10,800 hryvnias from UNHCR. This is reported by the Right to Defense Charitable Foundation.

People who have not previously received assistance from international organizations and whose income is less than 5,400 hryvnias per family member can receive assistance. In particular, those who belong to the vulnerable categories of the population.

Families can apply for financial assistance if they:

  • have only one parent with one or more children under the age of 18 or with elderly persons (55 years and older)
  • are headed by one single or several single elderly people (55 years and older) or an elderly person with one or more children under the age of 18
  • have family members with disabilities or chronic diseases;
  • take care of unaccompanied children or children separated from their parents.

The following documents must be submitted:

1. Identity document.

2. Tax number (required for payment of benefits).

3. Any documents confirming belonging to the vulnerability category (references, extracts, etc.).

4. Children’s birth certificate (if available).

5. Bank card number for payment of assistance.

6. Personal phone number.
