In 23 regions of Ukraine, the conditions and arrangement of temporary accommodation places (TAPs) for internally displaced persons were monitored.
The monitoring was organized by the Cluster for the Management and Coordination of Temporary Accommodation Sites in Ukraine (MTSS) and the REACH Initiative.
The monitoring covered 1136 ICCs with a total of 98,262 places.
According to the survey, in 91% of the TACs, IDPs have access to information on state registration of IDPs. In particular, in almost all places of temporary residence they are consulted on:
- Accessible medical facilities and services;
- government and local programs to provide cash and other types of assistance to IDPs;
- access to legal aid;
- registration with the State Employment Service and available vacancies.
Among other things, 90% of respondents in the ICC have access to psychosocial assistance for adults. In particular, 79% of respondents reported the availability of psychological assistance for children.
Also, almost all ICCs are provided with communications and means of communication: 73% of the facilities have uninterrupted electricity, 84% have water supply, and 81% have Internet access.
We remind you that such monitoring is carried out at the request of the Government in accordance with CMU Resolution No. 930. It approves the Procedure for the functioning of temporary accommodation for IDPs.
The document was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration on behalf of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to implement the Strategy of State Policy on Internal Displacement until 2025.
