This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Coordination Centre for IDPs chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The participants of the meeting reported that due to the large number of applications for the extension of IDP accommodation payments from 1 March 2024, some social protection agencies and ASCs will not be able to make an appointment until April.
Amendments to CMU Resolution No. 332 of 20 March 2022, which approved the procedure for providing accommodation allowances to IDPs, are currently being discussed. The option to extend the deadline for submitting applications until 30 April is being considered.
If these amendments are adopted, internally displaced persons who received such assistance and applied for its extension in April will be able to receive payments starting in March.
“The Ministry of Reintegration’s hotlines are receiving a lot of calls from IDPs about the deadlines for applying for the extension of payments. We are currently working on appropriate amendments to the governmental resolution to ensure that everyone has time to do this,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
