The government is working on expanding the list of categories of IDPs who will be able to receive state aid

Proposals for amendments to the resolution approving the procedure for providing housing allowances to internally displaced persons have already been developed.

In particular, it is proposed to include the following categories of IDPs entitled to such payments

  • children placed in the family of a foster caregiver; foster caregivers; children temporarily placed in the family of relatives, friends, foster family, family-type orphanage
  • seriously ill persons who have not been diagnosed with a disability.

If the average monthly total income per recipient in such a family does not exceed UAH 9444:

  • persons of pre-retirement age;
  • persons with disabilities of group III;
  • people caring for a child under 3 years of age or a child in need of care under 6 years of age;
  • persons whose family includes children under 18 and/or under 23 years of age who are full-time or dual enrolled students in vocational (vocational-technical), professional higher education and higher education institutions.
