This applies to internally displaced persons who were registered before February 24, 2022.
The issue was considered at a weekly meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
At the moment, the procedure for unlocking the cards of these citizens is possible only via Viber. For the first 59 applications submitted by the Pension Fund of Ukraine for processing by March 27, 2024, video identification has already begun to take place to remove the limits. In this regard, Oschadbank reported that it managed to contact almost 30 clients of the bank, whose cards were eventually unblocked.
About 300 IDPs’ requests to unblock their cards have already been forwarded to Oschadbank, which were received by the Ministry of Reintegration’s 1548 hotline and the Donbas SOS NGO.
The possibility of expanding the channels of contact with clients in the TOT is currently being considered. The bank is also considering taking into account the needs of people with visual or hearing impairments when conducting video identification by engaging a sign language interpreter or personal assistant.
