Since the beginning of the year, more than 6 thousand vouchers for education have been issued

As of today, 782 internally displaced persons have received such vouchers. This was discussed at a meeting on employment and vocational training of IDPs chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

A voucher is a document that gives certain categories of citizens the right to receive free training in educational institutions according to an approved list of professions and specialties.

A voucher can be used to study in one of 124 professions and specialties, for which it can be issued only once. The list is available here.

We remind you that the following people are eligible to receive a voucher:

  • people over the age of 45 (before receiving an old-age pension)
  • Veterans, participants of military operations;
  • internally displaced persons of working age;
  • persons with disabilities;
  • people who were injured as a result of military aggression or released from captivity.

Applicants must have a vocational, specialized pre-university or higher education and not be registered as unemployed with the Employment Service. They must also not have received training at the expense of the Compulsory State Unemployment Insurance Fund within the last 3 years.

To receive a voucher for training, you need to

  • choose a specialty, profession and place of study;
  • apply online on the website of the State Employment Service or apply to any employment center with an application and documents (passport, tax ID, employment record, educational documents, etc.).

The cost of the voucher cannot exceed 10 times the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons (currently UAH 30,280). If the cost of training exceeds this amount, the employer or the individual pays the difference on their own.

Within 90 days after receiving the voucher at the employment center, it is necessary to conclude a training agreement with the educational institution.

It should be noted that in 2023, 18,000 tuition vouchers were issued, almost 4,000 of which were received by IDPs.
