We remind you that persons who have left the TOT for the government-controlled territory and need to apply for a passport for the first time or to restore a lost one can do so at any unit of the State Migration Service (SMS).
However, the identification procedure required to issue a passport can take up to two months.
During this time, such persons are provided with assistance with accommodation in places of temporary residence, legal advice, humanitarian and other assistance.

The initiative to provide appropriate assistance to citizens was launched by the Ministry of Reintegration jointly with IOM, UNHCR, URCS and the SMS.
