Government approves plan to ensure life support in frontline areas where hostilities are ongoing

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a corresponding decree drafted by the Ministry of Reintegration.

The document defines priority measures to stabilise the livelihoods of the population in certain areas where hostilities are taking place.

The plan consists of two sections. The first section provides for the provision of vital services to the population. In particular, it includes:

  • humanitarian response;
  • economic and transport security;
  • medical and social sphere;
  • electronic communications;
  • housing and communal services.

The second section of the Plan deals with the evacuation algorithm. It includes:

  • updating information on the possible number of evacuees;
  • development of evacuation plans and updating the existing ones;
  • clarification of organisational measures for evacuation (search for transport, carriers, informing about evacuation, taking appropriate security measures, etc;)
  • ensuring accommodation and life support for the evacuees (expansion of temporary accommodation, establishment of military quarters for the evacuated population).

Thus, the plan adopted today will contribute to the coherence of the actions of the authorities to provide comprehensive support to the population in the frontline areas where hostilities are taking place.
