Currently, there are several ways to return from the temporarily occupied territories to the government-controlled territories of Ukraine. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk in an interview with Channel 24.
One of the ways to get across the territory of Russia is through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka crossing on the Ukrainian-Russian border.
In addition, you can leave through Russia and Belarus – through the Mokrany-Domanovo checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
The Deputy Prime Minister reminded that volunteer groups work at such checkpoints to provide comprehensive assistance to people, especially the elderly and those with limited mobility. The state, for its part, cooperates with them and also provides assistance.
“Our people are waiting for support here: representatives of the UMA, hubs, food, medicines, and assistance. They will receive financial assistance on the platform in the regions where they arrive by evacuation trains, as well as a free ticket to the part of Ukraine they have chosen,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
The official called on Ukrainians in the TOT to look for any opportunity to return to the government-controlled territories, even if it means taking a Russian passport.
“No one considers people to be criminals just because they were in the TOT and took a Russian passport. Unless they started to really collaborate. But this will be checked by our special services,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
