The reconstruction of the Trostianets community in Sumy Oblast is being carried out with this perspective in mind.
After the de-occupation, the biggest challenge for the community was housing for local IDPs. The enemy damaged and destroyed several hundred apartments and private houses. Government institutions, international partners, NGOs and local entrepreneurs have been actively involved in addressing this issue.
In particular, a modern IDP center for 100 people is currently under construction at the Neskuchne arboretum.
After the war, when the IDPs leave the center, it will not be a burden for the city. On the contrary, it is planned to be converted into a sports and tourism facility. That is, it will serve as a kind of hub for community development.
In total, the community has 7 centers for internally displaced persons, which can also be used in the future for the benefit of the local community.
