This was the result of a humanitarian project implemented at the initiative of the Ministry of Reintegration with the financial support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and in cooperation with Ukrposhta.
The project provided for the payment of one-time financial assistance in the amount of UAH 3,600 per person to Ukrainians leaving the temporarily occupied territories through the Kolotylivka-Pokrovka and Mokrany-Domanove checkpoints. Or evacuated from frontline settlements via evacuation routes.
The project proved to be an effective mechanism for financial support for the evacuated population. Over the course of its validity (from 10 December 2023 to 6 July 2024), more than 16,000 people received funds worth about UAH 60 million.
This humanitarian project will expire in early July this year.
It is worth noting that this initiative has become a successful example of cooperation between the Ministry of Reintegration and IOM, the national telecommunications operator and regional military administrations to support the evacuated population.
