The international charitable foundation is stepping up its support for Ukrainians who suffer from daily shelling by the enemy. This decision was made possible thanks to the cooperation of Caritas Germany with Caritas Ukraine and with funding from the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO).
The allocated funds will be used to support the medical infrastructure of Ukraine, as well as to provide financial assistance to about 2,800 people from vulnerable categories.
It is reported that almost 400 thousand euros of this amount will be used to purchase medical equipment for the children’s medical center in Lviv. For more than 2 years, it has been an evacuation hub for children with serious illnesses affected by the war. The center also received patients transferred from Okhmatdyt as a result of an enemy missile attack on the hospital.
The rest of the funds will be used to support families affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation living in the frontline areas of Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovs’k regions.
