The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine and the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) have launched a new project, Mine Action and Return of IDPs in Southern Ukraine. This is stated on the UNDP website.
It aims to help the war-affected population rebuild their homes and return home.
The project will last until August 2025.
During this time, UNDP will be involved in debris removal, housing reconstruction, site surveys, explosive ordnance disposal, and more.
It will also assist those providing legal, physical and psychological assistance and vocational training services.
In addition, UNDP will support governmental and non-governmental organizations that will help the population in the targeted regions of southern Ukraine. In particular, in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
