IDPs can receive medical care through the Medical Guarantee Program, which covers the needs of people regardless of their place of residence and registration.
The Medical Guarantees Program includes all basic types of medical care:
1) emergency medical care (regardless of the availability of a declaration with a family doctor)
2) primary medical care
3) specialized medical care
4) palliative care
5) rehabilitation in the field of health care
6) medical care for children under 16 years of age;
7) medical care in connection with pregnancy and childbirth.
As well as free or partially reimbursed medicines under the “Affordable Medicines” program.
You can get free medical care through your family doctor, general practitioner or pediatrician. Patients who have temporarily moved to other settlements of Ukraine and need medical care can go to the nearest medical institution that has an agreement with the NHSU and sign a declaration with a family doctor. It is not necessary to cancel the previous declaration.
You can find the nearest medical institution or doctor who has an agreement with the NHSU to provide certain types of medical services by following the link or by calling the NHSU contact center at 16-77.
The declaration with a doctor allows the patient to access free services for diagnosis, consultation and prevention of the most common diseases.
Important! Internally displaced persons can visit a gynecologist, psychiatrist, narcologist, phthisiologist, pediatrician, and dentist without a referral.
More details about the free medical services available under the Medical Guarantee Program can be found in the electronic manual.
