The presentation took place during the All-Ukrainian Forum of IDP Councils, which is currently taking place in Kyiv.
The forum included panel discussions and research presentations. In particular, Oleksiy Bruslyk, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the TOT, took part in the discussion on IDP housing.
The official informed the forum participants about the recently presented draft State Policy Strategy on Ensuring the Housing Rights of IDPs in Ukraine until 2027.
Among other things, the Strategy addresses the following key issues:
- The network of temporary accommodation;
- Sources of formation of the temporary housing fund for IDPs;
- Social rent;
- Preferential mortgage.
Oleksiy Bruslyk called on the IDP Councils to submit proposals for practical measures to implement the Strategy.
It should be reminded that the second All-Ukrainian Forum of IDP Councils was organized by Stabilization Support Services in partnership with the Ministry of Reintegration and with the support of the United Nations Refugee Agency in Ukraine (UNHCR) and the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX in Ukraine).
