In Kyiv region, Iryna Vereshchuk inspects the process of reconstruction of houses within the project to improve housing conditions of IDPs

Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk and the team of the Ministry of Reintegration paid a working visit to Kyiv region. The purpose of the trip was to check the progress of the restoration of facilities under the project to improve housing conditions for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The project is implemented with the financial support of the German Government with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration. The financial partner is the German state bank KfW. The project manager is the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Iryna Vereshchuk, together with representatives of the Kyiv AUC, local authorities, KfW and IOM, inspected the facilities. They also talked to local residents and representatives of contractors. The meetings were focused on the issues of compliance with construction schedules and quality assurance.

“Our task is to organize the fastest and highest quality reconstruction of the damaged buildings so that people can return to their homes,” emphasized Iryna Vereshchuk.
