The relevant resolution was adopted by the Government today. It provides for a one-time payment of UAH 21 thousand to vulnerable households in frontline (border) communities for the purchase of solid household fuel. In total, UAH 1.2 billion is provided for this humanitarian project.
Priority will be given to residents who live within a 10-kilometer zone from the state border with Russia or the contact line. These are the communities of Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovs’k, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions.
The financial assistance program is being implemented with the financial support of UNHCR.
The relevant act was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration as part of the implementation of the Plan of Priority Measures to Stabilize the Life Support of the Population in the Territories where Military Operations are Waged. This Plan was approved by the Government Decree No. 583-r of June 25, 2024.
The implementation of the act will help meet the needs of vulnerable populations in the frontline areas for household fuel in winter.
