Frontline communities to receive financial aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross to help them through the winter

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in partnership with the Ministry of Reintegration, is actively preparing frontline communities for the fall and winter period. In particular, they are providing assistance to the most vulnerable populations in remote rural and semi-rural areas along the contact line or in the border areas.

As part of the ICRC’s activities, it is planned that this year:

  • 14,895 households will receive cash assistance in the amount of UAH 25 thousand;
  • 5457 households will be provided with over 11 thousand tons of fuel briquettes;
  • 1,100 households will be provided with firewood.

In addition, 680 families will receive assistance from the ICRC in the form of funds for housing improvement, and more than 1300 households will receive construction materials or in-kind assistance for prompt housing repairs before winter.

The Ministry of Reintegration is sincerely grateful to the International Committee of the Red Cross for supporting Ukrainians in the frontline areas.
