eRestoration: expanded opportunities to apply for compensation for destroyed housing

From now on, Ukrainians who have lost their homes due to the war can apply for compensation for destroyed property through the Diia portal. Previously, this option was available only through the Diia mobile application. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

An application must be submitted to receive a housing certificate for the purchase of a new home or funds for reconstruction on your own land if a private house was destroyed.

To submit an application, you must:

  1. Log in to the Diia portal.
  2. Click on “Catalog of Services”, section “For Citizens”, select “Land, Construction, Real Estate”.
  3. Select the service “Compensation for damaged or destroyed property”.
  4. Select the object and type of compensation (housing certificate or cash payment) and fill out the application form.
  5. Check the data and sign the application using an electronic signature.

In addition, the application can be submitted at any Administrative Service Center. That is, not only in the community where the destroyed property is located, but throughout Ukraine.

The eRestoration program is being implemented by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development and the Ministry of Digital Transformation with the support of USAID, UK Dev and the Eastern Europe Foundation.

More information about the program is available on the website.
