Almost 70 thousand Ukrainians in the frontline areas have already received financial assistance from UNICEF to help them through the winter period

These payments are made as part of a joint project of the Ministry of Reintegration and UNICEF to provide financial support to families with children living in the frontline areas of Ukraine.

This includes assistance in the amount of UAH 21,800 for vulnerable families with children to support them during the winter, including heating.

The funds will be allocated to families living in settlements close to the front line (up to 30 kilometers) in Dnipropetrovska, Donetska, Kharkivska, Khersonska, Sumska and Zaporizka oblasts.

So far, more than 68,000 people, including 30,000 children, have received assistance, UNICEF reports on its X social media page.

In total, the program is expected to reach up to 100,000 residents of the frontline areas with winterization support measures in 2024/2025.
