From January to September 2024, humanitarian organizations provided at least one type of assistance to 7.2 million people across Ukraine.
This information was published on its website by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine (OCHA Ukraine).
During this period, 5.8 million people, mostly from the frontline areas, received assistance in the areas of water supply, sanitation and hygiene.
Food and livelihoods assistance was provided to 3 million people, and timely medical assistance to another 2 million.
Approximately 1.3 million people were provided with the necessary materials for emergency housing repairs.
Mine action awareness and training services were organized for 1.2 million people, and 600,000 children and teachers were supported to continue their education.
The multi-purpose cash assistance reached approximately 700,000 Ukrainians.
In addition, support was provided to nearly 100 thousand IDPs living in temporary accommodation.
It should be noted that more than 600 organizations provided this assistance to Ukrainians under the Humanitarian Response Plan for 2024.
