At its meeting on November 18, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development recommended adopting draft law No. 11028 as a whole.
In particular, this document provides for amendments to Law No. 2923-IX, which regulates the procedure for paying compensation to citizens whose housing was damaged or destroyed as a result of Russian aggression.
The Temporary Special Commission on the Protection of the Rights of IDPs and Other Persons reported this on its Facebook page.
Thus, it is proposed to expand the list of persons who will have a priority right to compensation for destroyed housing under the eRestoration program. It is planned to add the following categories of IDPs:
- Pensioners
- persons with disabilities of the third group;
- persons raising a child under 6 or a child with a disability;
- single mothers or fathers raising a child under 14 years of age on their own;
- persons with two dependent children;
- adoptive parents, guardians and foster parents;
- patients with severe forms of certain chronic diseases according to the list approved by the Ministry of Health;
- have a dependent child suffering from severe nervous system disorders, congenital malformations, orphan diseases or other serious illnesses.
The purpose of the draft law, developed by the parliamentary temporary investigatory commission for the protection of IDPs, is to support the most vulnerable categories of IDPs who have lost their homes and need priority assistance from the state.
