In some communities of Poltava region, IDPs can receive financial assistance for renting housing

Internally displaced persons who have recently moved to the Poltava, Myrhorod, Kolomak, Kremenchuk, and Kobeliak communities can register for financial assistance for rent for a period of 6 months. It is provided by Caritas Poltava as part of the project “Multisectoral Assistance to War-Affected People in Ukraine”.

The charitable organization announced this in its telegram channel.

The assistance is available to IDPs who have recently arrived in the host community (less than 30 days ago) and fall into one of the following vulnerability categories

  • a person with a disability
  • a person with a serious illness;
  • a lonely older person (60+) or a household consisting of one or two elderly people who do not have the support of relatives;
  • single mothers/fathers or guardians of minor children;
  • large families (three or more minor children);
  • pregnant women or mothers with children under 3 years of age.

To register, the applicant must provide the following documents: passport (original), taxpayer registration number, IDP certificate issued in 2024 (no more than 30 days should have passed since its issuance), international bank account number (IBAN), as well as documents confirming the vulnerability criterion and OK-5 or OK-7 certificate.

In order to receive assistance, it is also necessary that the household does not receive similar financial assistance from other organizations, and the average monthly income per person is no more than UAH 6,318.
