1.7 million Ukrainians received Winter eSupport through Ukrposhta

The Winter is Support programme, initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has become one of the largest financial support initiatives in the history of our country.

The one-time state aid of UAH 1,000 was targeted at all Ukrainians, including children, residing in Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territories) to provide social support to citizens during the difficult winter period.

Ukrposhta played an important role in the implementation of this programme, as its extensive logistics network of more than 4,400 stationary and 1,900 mobile offices and 25,000 points of presence ensured the delivery of the aid to the population. Among the 1.7 million Ukrainians who used the programme through Ukrposhta, almost 1.2 million received payments in villages and more than 500,000 in cities. In particular, more than 171,000 people received assistance in the frontline areas.

Ukrainians used the money to pay for utilities, purchase Ukrainian goods, top up their mobile accounts, support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, subscribe to their favourite magazines, etc.

Despite the deadline for submitting applications, payments for certain categories of citizens will continue until the end of April. This applies to those who previously received pensions or social benefits through banks but decided to use the programme at Ukrposhta.
