Oleksiy Ryabykin, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories, chaired the fifth meeting of the expert working group that is reviewing draft regional development strategies until 2027 and plans for their implementation.

According to Oleksiy Ryabikin, regional strategies play a key role in the comprehensive development of regions, so their development should be thorough and meet modern challenges.
“Regional strategies should not only be in line with the State Strategy for Regional Development, but also take into account regional peculiarities, including the strengths and capabilities of each region. Each strategy should be holistic and effective, focusing on national priorities, economic potential and recovery needs. We continue to thoroughly analyse and improve these documents so that they truly contribute to the sustainable development of communities and their adaptation to new realities,” the Deputy Minister said.

The meeting reviewed the development strategies of Volyn, Donetsk, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Khmelnytskyi regions. The development strategies for Kharkiv and Khmelnytskyi regions were approved.
