The government has allocated UAH 1.5 billion in additional subsidies for the regions that are under fire every day. These funds will be used to ensure basic services and stable operation of communities in the most difficult conditions.
A new mechanism of monthly support for border and frontline communities is being developed. It will amount to about UAH 10 million for each community, depending on the population size. The funds will be used to build shelters, purchase special equipment and materials for reconstruction, and repair utility networks.
A separate note on housing policy. Over 96,000 families have already been supported through the compensation programme for destroyed or damaged housing. Of these, 8,000 were able to purchase new housing. This year, we have expanded the programme for internally displaced persons and started payments to those who are building their own homes on a new or restored plot.
One more thing is good news for Ukrainian carriers and exporters: The ‘transport visa-free regime’ with the European Union has been extended until the end of 2025. This means stable transit, export growth, and access to markets. The agreement is already showing results – exports by road to the EU have increased by 42%.
