Residents of frontline Sumy region start receiving winter payments from UNICEF

The joint project of the Ministry of Reintegration and UNICEF to provide financial support to families with children living in the frontline areas of Ukraine continues.

This week, payments were made to more than 2,000 households in Sumy Oblast located within a 30-kilometre zone of the contact line. As a result, more than 2,500 children from vulnerable families will be provided with everything they need ahead of the winter season.

In addition, the total number of people in the frontline areas to be covered by the 2024/2025 winterisation programme has been increased from 60,000 to 100,000.

Earlier, we reported that households in Dnipropetrovska, Donetska and Kharkivska oblasts started receiving this type of payment.
