How to receive state financial assistance for those released from captivity and families of prisoners of war

The Ministry of Reintegration has a Commission for establishing the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine.

It establishes the fact that military and civilians, including those released from captivity, have been held in captivity. The Commission is composed of representatives of state bodies and specialized public organizations.

After the Commission establishes the fact of deprivation of personal liberty, the Ministry of Reintegration pays a one-time financial assistance from the state in the amount of 100 thousand hryvnias to persons released from captivity.

The Ministry also pays annual state aid in the amount of 100 thousand hryvnias for each year of captivity to former prisoners of war or family members of those who are still in captivity.

To receive these financial benefits from the state, you need to contact the Ministry of Reintegration. The algorithm of actions and the list of required documents can be found here.
