Highlights for the week of June 24 – June 30

The pilot project on remote inspection of destroyed housing in the TOT and combat areas is being scaled up (opens in a new tab). The relevant draft resolution is at the stage of approval by the central executive authorities.

The government has approved (opens in a new tab) a plan to ensure the livelihoods in the frontline areas where hostilities are taking place. The draft order was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration.

More than UAH 57 million has been allocated (opens in a new tab)for compensation for utilities consumed during the free stay of IDPs in the premises of state, municipal and private property.

The European Court of Human Rights found (opens in a new tab)the Russian government responsible for human rights violations in Crimea.

This week, prisoners were released twice. First, 90 Ukrainian defenders returned (opens in a new tab)from Russian captivity, and then (opens in a new tab) 10 more civilians. Among them are political prisoners, volunteers and clergy.

The EU Council has extended (opens in a new tab)temporary protection for asylum seekers from Ukraine until March 4, 2026.

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has adopted (opens in a new tab)a resolution on long-term support for Ukrainian asylum seekers and internally displaced persons. The document was supported by 56 PACE delegates.

Displaced persons whose homes were destroyed in the TOT or in the combat zone will be able to apply (opens in a new tab) to the International Register of Damage. This can be done through the Diia app.

Almost 2.9 billion hryvnias have already been allocated (opens in a new tab)for payments to IDPs in the first period of June. The funds will soon be transferred to the bank accounts of internally displaced persons.
