International organisations help residents of frontline communities prepare for winter

The non-governmental humanitarian organisations DanChurchAid and Norwegian Church Aid provided sunflower briquettes for stove heating. Employees of the Southern Development Strategy organisation distributed them to residents of Vasylivka and Kyselivka in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

These communities have suffered significant damage as a result of the hostilities. Gas supply systems were damaged, among other things. Therefore, their residents need additional support in preparing for the winter period.

The assistance is provided with the financial support of the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine.

Earlier we reported on the start of winter payments from UNICEF for residents of the frontline areas.

A number of households will also receive cash assistance from the International Committee of the Red Cross to help them get through the winter.
