The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution initiated by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development that will allow for more efficient use of funds to rebuild housing and complete recovery projects.
In 2025, the funds from the Armed Aggression Relief Fund will be used for two purposes:
Compensating people whose housing was destroyed or damaged to restore it or purchase a new one.
Completion of projects that have already been launched and implemented at the expense of the Armed Aggression Relief Fund but require additional funding.
The funds for these programmes will be used from the Fund’s balance as of 1 January 2025. Individuals and communities will be able to apply to the Ministry of Development for assistance, after which the Ministry will formulate proposals and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration.
The adopted resolution makes it possible to effectively use the funds of the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression, provide support to those in need and continue the country’s recovery from the destruction.
