This was discussed at a weekly meeting of the Coordination Center for IDPs chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
Starting March 1, some categories of IDPs who have been receiving assistance for a year or two have had their assistance extended for another 6 months. About 535 thousand internally displaced persons received an automatic extension of IDP payments. These are primarily people with disabilities of groups 1 and 2, as well as pensioners whose pensions do not exceed UAH 9444.
According to the meeting participants, technical problems arose during the automatic extension of payments to IDPs with disabilities. They will be resolved in the near future.
“People with disability groups 1 and 2 will receive their IDP payments from March, even if they have a coupon for the ASC in May,” the Vice Prime Minister emphasized.
Other IDPs who do not fall into these categories had to submit relevant applications to social protection authorities or ASCs. Therefore, 196,000 IDP families have already applied to social protection departments for the extension of the allowance. In March, payments were processed and allocated to 98 thousand families (personal accounts), or 181 thousand people.
The rest of the applications for the extension of payments from IDPs are still being processed by the social protection departments. If these applications are reassigned, the recipients will receive payments for 2 months at a time in April.
We would like to remind you that you can apply for reassignment of payments until April 30. In this case, IDP payments will be accrued starting in March.
