The Coordination Centre for the Compulsory Evacuation of the Population under Martial Law has supported the decision to forcibly evacuate children and their families from a number of settlements in Sumy region. This includes 497 children from 90 settlements of Sumy district and 11 settlements of Konotop district. The evacuation is free of charge. Contact numbers for registration are available here.
As part of the Restoration Programme, Ukrainians can apply for compensation for war-damaged housing through the Diia portal. The application must be submitted in order to receive a housing certificate for the purchase of a new home or funds for reconstruction on their own land plot if a private house was destroyed. Relocated enterprises will be able to prolong loans received under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% programme until 31 December 2026. This refers to companies whose production facilities were located in the combat zone or in the temporarily occupied territories. The relevant changes were recently adopted by the Government.
The Verkhovna Rada has adopted amendments to Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and Members of Their Families’. Since the beginning of the year, the state has compensated entrepreneurs UAH 224 million for employing IDPs. This includes more than 8,000 employers who have hired 11,300 IDPs. For more information on the amount of compensation and the procedure for receiving it, please follow the link.
In addition, this year, UAH 77 million was compensated to employers for creating jobs for 1,200 people with disabilities. Entrepreneurs from all regions of Ukraine received compensation under the government programme.
