The functioning of the Commissioner’s hotline is aimed at providing assistance to citizens, as well as analyzing the status of human and civil rights observance and freedoms of citizens residing in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and/or adjacent territories. Its activity is important for identifying the problems and needs of citizens who have been negatively affected by the aggression and full-scale war with russia.
The work of the Commissioner’s hotline allows the Secretariat of the Commissioner for IDPs to collect and analyze information to make appropriate changes and develop long-term solutions to the problems faced by IDPs.
The Commissioner’s hotline works for millions of people who need qualified and prompt assistance in solving urgent issues related to displacement as a result of the aggression and full-scale war of the russian federation against Ukraine.
Operators of the Commissioner’s Hotline perform the following functions
- Provide consultations to citizens who contact the hotline;
- Sarch for the necessary information on issues within their competence;
- Offer optimal solutions to solve citizens’ problems;
- If necessary, register the appeal for further consideration by the relevant body of the executive branch.
For proper registration and further consideration of the application, the citizen must provide the following information
- Consent to the processing of personal data;
- Surname, first name and patronymic (full name);
- Contact phone number and e-mail address;
- Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), if available;
- IDP certificate number with certificate issue date (if available);
- Region, district and name of the settlement (city/town/village, etc.) from which the IDP left;
- Region, district and name of the settlement (city/town/village, etc.), with mandatory street, house number and apartment number where the person actually lives;
- A brief description of the problem (evacuation, delay in payments, failure to provide humanitarian assistance, etc.).
