Communities of Lviv region are ready to support war victims in cooperation with international partners

The readiness analysis was conducted at a regular meeting of the Coordination Center for Support of Civilians in the region. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Military Administration.

The participants discussed ways to address the housing issue, mental health support, assistance to IDPs, military families, veterans, etc. In particular, another 13 territorial communities submitted proposals for the establishment of supported living centers.

The Cluster for the Management and Coordination of Temporary Accommodation Centers (TACs) in the Western Hub presented statistics on their residents. According to it, the majority of TAC residents are women aged 18 to 60 (32.8%) and women aged over 60 (17.1%).

The partners of the Coordination Center – the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) – will provide all the necessary assistance to the residents of the ICC this year. Thus, IOM will support 25 MCCs, UNHCR in cooperation with the International Foundation for Health and Environment “Carpathian Region” (NEEKA) – 25, NRC – 10.
