Khmelnytskyi Regional Council of IDPs presented a report on its work

The IDP Council at the Khmelnytskyi CMA was established in September 2023. The Council currently consists of 20 members, most of whom are internally displaced.

The report was presented during a meeting on IDPs chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

One of the main areas of work of the Khmelnytskyi Regional IDP Council is housing programmes.

In particular, the IDP Council offers:

  • Arrangement and regular support of ICCs in Khmelnytskyi region.
  • Creation and implementation of the State Realtor service (free services for IDPs to find real estate for long-term lease).
  • Construction of housing for IDPs in cooperation with donors, authorities and owners of land plots where there are already approved projects.

The IDP Council includes NGOs such as the Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre, Zahody, the Victoria IDP Council, and the Rokada Charitable Foundation.

They jointly organise cultural, educational, training and motivational events, as well as programmes for the integration of internally displaced persons into host communities.
