Iryna Vereshchuk held an offsite meeting on the rehabilitation and reintegration of servicemen released from captivity

An offsite meeting on rehabilitation support for servicemen released from captivity was held in Vinnytsia region under the chairmanship of Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Vereshchuk.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Veterans, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, and the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

The participants discussed a number of issues related to social protection of defenders released from captivity. In particular, the issue of simplifying and speeding up the issuance and restoration of documents: passports, military cards, combatant’s certificates, certificates of captivity, etc.

The participants also discussed the functioning of the Center for Medical and Psychological Rehabilitation of Servicemen Released from Captivity, which was recently opened at a medical facility in Vinnytsia Oblast.

Summarizing the meeting, Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized that our care for those released from captivity should be reflected in our daily practical actions.
