700 Ukrainian educational institutions will receive financial support from UNICEF. 550 of them are in the frontline areas. The initiative is being implemented as part of the school feeding system reform under the patronage of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Reintegration. Also, as part of the school catering reform, 10 culinary hubs are to be established by the end of the year. These are training centers for school canteen cooks. They are created on the basis of vocational education institutions. Students majoring in cooking are trained there and school canteen workers are retrained. Almost 70,000 residents of the frontline areasreceivedfinancial assistance from UNICEF in the amount of UAH 21,800 to help them get through the winter . The payments are made within the framework of a joint project of the Ministry of Reintegration and UNICEF to provide financial support to vulnerable families with children.

An online meetingwas held with the participation of Roman Usenko, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, representatives of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Reintegration, the Ministry of Economy and international organizations. They discussed recommendations for the draft State Policy Strategy on IDP Employment until 2027 developed by the Ministry of Reintegration.
The government has allocated another UAH 22 million to compensate for the free accommodation of IDPs in state-owned, municipal and private property. This is to cover utility bills for July 2024. Read more about the distribution of funds here.
