The government adopted a protocol decision to allocate over 1.7 billion hryvnias to maintain important logistical connections necessary for Ukraine’s defense capability, in particular in front-line regions.
“It is necessary to ensure the proper strengthening of these strategic logistical routes. These are the routes along which the military moves every day, fighters and civilians are evacuated, and humanitarian aid is delivered. It is also important that residents of frontline regions have uninterrupted access to basic services,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
This concerns the allocation of funds:
To the State Agency for Reconstruction – UAH 1.456 billion for the proper functioning of national highways
To the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration – UAH 170 million for work on local highways;
To the Kherson Regional State Administration – UAH 136.37 million for work on local highways.
Particular attention is paid to roads that are of fundamental importance for the country’s defense capability and roads in front-line regions, thanks to which their residents can count on the necessary medical care, social services or evacuation, if necessary.
