Employment of internally displaced persons was discussed at a meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Poltava Regional Military Administration (RMA).
This was reported on the website of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.
In particular, it was said that more than 168 thousand IDPs are currently registered in Poltava region. Almost 50% of them are able-bodied people. Employment of these people is an important component of socialization and adaptation to new conditions.
Thus, the State Employment Service offers a number of services aimed at facilitating the employment of internally displaced persons. It is not necessary to have unemployment status.
Current job offers for IDPs in Poltava region’s communities are posted on the information resources of the CMA, district military administrations, and the Employment Service. These include vouchers for education, microgrants for starting or developing their own business, vocational training, etc.
In addition, the region has developed a Strategic Plan of Actions and Measures, which includes a separate area for employment for internally displaced persons.
IDP Support Councils and NGOs with relevant programs also facilitate the employment of internally displaced persons.
