“I am grateful to the CMAs and local governments for the prompt processing and compilation of the lists of recipients of assistance. This will allow households in need of support to start purchasing solid fuel in November and prepare for the winter in time,” Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized.
As a reminder, on August 21, 2024, the Ministry of Reintegration and UNHCR signed a memorandum of support for frontline communities for the next winter period. The agreement was signed by Iryna Vereshchuk and UNHCR Representative in Ukraine Caroline Lindholm Billing.
The total budget of the program is USD 37 million. These funds will provide over 70 thousand vulnerable households with solid household fuel.
