The project “Development of SMEs: economic integration of IDPs and business recovery” is implemented by the Ministry of Reintegration together with the Ministry of Economy with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the support of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) through the Credit Institution for Reconstruction (KfW).
This initiative is aimed at promoting the economic adaptation and restoration of enterprises that suffered as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. In particular, those who moved their business.
Also among the goals of the project is to strengthen the capacity of such enterprises to work and provide critically needed goods and services to internally displaced persons and host communities.
The project is implemented in the territory under the control of the Government of Ukraine. Within its implementation, support in the form of grants and consultations is provided to enterprises whose owners or employees include IDPs.
During the project implementation period, the following was provided:
– 508 grants to micro-enterprises (4,500 euros), 258 of them in 2023;
– 183 grants to small businesses (€20,000), of which 108 will be granted in 2023;
– 60 grants to startups (€7,000).
In addition, the enterprises were provided with consultations:
– on export issues (through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine) – 197;
– on business adaptation to war conditions (through the Kyiv School of Economics) – 93;
– group consultations and field visits of experts (through the Network of Business Support Information Centers) – 315.
