Almost UAH 37 billion was allocated for social payments in January

Last month, UAH 36.92 billion was allocated from the state budget for social payments. This was reported by the Government portal.

The largest amount – UAH 20.9 billion – was allocated for the payment of pensions, allowances and increases to them, etc.

UAH 8.5 billion was allocated for social protection of citizens in difficult life circumstances. In particular, for payments to people with disabilities and IDPs (living allowance).

UAH 1 billion was allocated to support low-income families, UAH 4.7 billion – for benefits and housing subsidies, UAH 1.8 billion – for social protection of children and families (assistance at birth or adoption, etc.), and UAH 20 million – for social protection of people with disabilities.

This year, the amount of spending on social support is the second largest after security and defence.
