Today, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for monitoring compliance with international humanitarian law.
During the monitoring, cases of violations of IHL will be recorded and entered into a special electronic register. The data will then be sent to specialized international organizations.
This will ensure a quick response to violations of IHL and subsequent prosecution of perpetrators.
The decision to create an electronic register of IHL violations was made by the Interagency Commission on the Application and Implementation of International Humanitarian Law in Ukraine, chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Reintegration is the state body responsible for implementing the state policy on compliance with IHL in Ukraine.
