The government allowed deferred repayment of state loans by farmers who remained in the TOT or frontline areas

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved amendments to the Procedure for the use of funds allocated in the state budget to support farms, approved by CMU Resolution No. 1102 of 25 August 2004.

Some farms located in the frontline areas or the TOT received loans through the State Fund until 2022. However, as of today, some of them are unable to fully fulfil their obligations to repay the budget funds.

The amendments provide for the possibility of deferring loan repayment until 31 December 2025.

This refers to farms that as of 24 February 2022 were located in the territories included in the list of territories where military operations are (were) conducted, in particular, where state electronic information resources are functioning, or temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation (the list is approved by the order of the Ministry of Reintegration).

In addition, applications from farmers for financial support will now be accepted online through the State Agrarian Register.

Such changes will help to formulate a long-term state policy to support farmers, creating equal conditions for all farms to participate in state support programmes.

The relevant draft law was developed by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy with the support of the Ministry of Reintegration. In particular, this issue was previously discussed at meetings of the Coordination Headquarters for the De-occupied Territories. The government allowed deferred repayment of state loans by farmers who remained in the TOT or frontline areas
