This was reported at a meeting of the Coordination Centre for IDPs chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
Thus, as part of the Shelter project, compensation for March 2024 was financed in the total amount of UAH 76.5 million. These funds were transferred to more than 66,000 homeowners who provided free accommodation for internally displaced persons.
Since January this year, compensation has been funded by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) under an agreement signed with the Ministry of Reintegration.
In addition, the Ministry of Reintegration has already provided UNHCR with the data to make the relevant payments totalling more than UAH 70 million for April. Almost 64,000 people who have provided free temporary housing to IDPs will receive these payments.
