Highlights for the week of 17 June – 23 June

To simplify procurement for defence needs: this issue was discussed at a special meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk. The necessary regulatory changes are being developed.

Iryna Vereshchuk took part in a forum on international humanitarian law. The Vice Prime Minister chairs the Interdepartmental Commission on the application and implementation of IHL in Ukraine.

In six months, about UAH 60 million of financial assistance has been provided to Ukrainians who have moved from the TOT and evacuated from the frontline areas. These are the results of a joint project of the Ministry of Reintegration, IOM and Ukrposhta.

The Ministry of Reintegration managed to return a guy who was taken from the TOT to Russia.

The third Ukrainian-Polish Forum for the Restoration of Ukraine took place in Kyiv. Iryna Vereshchuk held a working meeting with Krzysztof Paszyk, Minister of Development and Technology of Poland. They discussed a number of Polish-Ukrainian economic projects.

Clarifications were published regarding the delay in payments to IDPs in the first payment period of June.

The government is preparing to provide fuel wood to vulnerable groups in the frontline areas. In Kharkiv region, solutions are being developed to supply these categories with liquefied gas.

Donetsk region is preparing for the autumn and winter period – the results of a meeting on humanitarian response chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
