Highlights for the week of July 8 – July 14

As part of her working visit to Kharkiv region, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk visited the Kupiansk community. In Kharkiv, she held meetings on humanitarian response and the provision of humanitarian liquefied gas to vulnerable populations in the frontline areas of Kharkiv, Sumy and Donetsk regions.

The government has improved the military registration of people under 25 who enter universities.

The draft resolution was supported by the team of the Ministry of Reintegration in meetings with the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Migration Service and the Ministry of Education. It was also discussed at the meetings of the Coordination Center for the De-occupied Territories chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The Ministry of Reintegration has prepared explanations on the provision of liquefied gas to vulnerable categories of citizens in three frontline regions.

The Ministry of Reintegration recommends refraining from traveling to the temporarily occupied territories and asks to report persons involved in depriving Ukrainians of their property in the TOT.

Due to the security situation, forced evacuation of children was introduced in certain settlements in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

The Government’s decision to inspect destroyed housing will now also be carried out in the area of active hostilities.

Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk took part in a roundtable discussion on the interaction between the state and communities in the implementation of veterans’ policy, entitled “Decentralization in Touch”: priorities of veterans’ policies – algorithms of interaction between the state and territorial communities. The event was held in Kyiv on the platform of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired a meeting on humanitarian response in Donetsk Oblast. The participants discussed a number of issues aimed at the autumn-winter period of 2024-2025.
