Highlights for the week of 23 September – 29 September

Schools in the frontline areas will receive financial assistance from UNICEF. The Government has adopted the relevant resolution. The draft act was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration jointly with the Ministry of Education as part of the implementation of the school feeding reform in Ukraine initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The amount of assistance to each institution will be UAH 290,500 and will be provided as a one-off in 2024-2025. The funds can be used to repair and modernise school canteens and prepare for the winter season. The total amount of the project is over UAH 100 million.

The Commission for establishing the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine continues to work under the Ministry of Reintegration. The Ministry reminds the algorithm for receiving financial assistance from the state for those released from captivity and families of prisoners.

Due to the security situation, children and their families were forced to evacuate certain settlements in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. This decision of the Kharkiv and Donetsk Regional Military Administrations was supported by the Coordination Centre for Mandatory Evacuation of the Population under Martial Law. Read more here.
